Project Description

The Plumbery Café

Location: Salisbury
Year: 2000
Client: Salisbury Cathedral

The Plumbery Café remains a favourite hospitality scheme that we have undertaken. Located in the unique leadworks space of Salisbury Cathedral, the spires of the cathedral are visible through the café glass roof. This commission marked a turning point for the practice, leading to a long working relationship with the client and other restaurant and hospitality projects including York Railway Museum, Winchester Guildhall, The Octagon Café in Bath, and the British Museum Cafe.

The Plumbery Café features in our publication 25 Projects, celebrating our first 25 years of practice from 1992 to 2017. Find out more and read the book on our website here.
