On Women’s Equality Day, (26th August 2019), we celebrate Cate Adams, Rob’s mother and Tamsin’s grandmother. A well-loved and talented architect, Cate worked against the odds to pursue her career in the 1950s and 60s. She inspired Tamsin to become an architect and her three cousins to become a textile designer, fashion creative director and ceramicist.
Now co-director of Adams+Collingwood Architects, Tamsin works hard to be an ambassador for the equal opportunities that eluded her grandmother.
Pictured here are family photos of Tamsin and her cousins with their grandmother (in outfits knitted by Cate!) and snapshots of the scrapbooks that Cate kept which still prove an inspiration today.
